The JD of EHS Specialist III in Chongqing is as following:
Job Specification:
1. Responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for Chongqing;
a. with the objective to proactively reduce risks and;
b. ensure compliance with China relevant EHS laws and regulations and HP EHS standards
2. Work with the business units and Suppliers/contractors/Subcontractors to ensure the implementation of HP EHS management system and standards.
3. Provides expertise to various business units, teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives/activities and EHS programs.
4. Track, review, consult and implement EHS laws regulations, promulgated by country, province and local regulatory authorities for all work activities, including those at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the site’s overall environmental health and safety program, EHS performance and Dashboard updated and in compliance with legal, company requirements at site and support remotely to EHS in APJ countries.
2. Participate in regular meetings, communicate on the existing EHS issues, and work out action plan for these existing EHS issues and ensure effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.
3. Organize and conduct regular EHS inspection to discover potential EHS risk, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure.
4. Be responsible for all EHS licenses/Permit, convening Emergency Response Team members and implementing, conduct Emergency Drill and Response Plan.
5. Be responsible for incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure.
6. Be responsible for identifying and forecasting EHS training needs and ensure the completion of EHS training for relevant employees.
7. In charge of contractor/supplier management and ensure all contractor/supplier follow up HP EHS standards and requirements
8. Participate in the process of the project of office renovation and innovation so as to make sure these projects to meet EHS requirements
9. Liaise with external authorities, such as the work safety bureau, fire bureau, and environmental protection bureau on EHS issues and is the point of contact for those external agencies.
10. Coordinate and help solve relevant work safety, health and fire safety issues with the Property Management Company, Landlord and Business Units.
Education and Experience Required：
1. First level university degree in science preferred, with safety engineering, environmental engineering or chemical engineering or safety engineering or mechanical engineering is recommended.
2. China Certified Safety Engineer (CSE) / Work Safety Manager Certificate/Fire Safety Certificate is required with 3-5 years of environmental, health and safety experience required.
3. Desire certificates should preferably have:
a. Certified Professional Ergonomist / Associate Ergonomics Professional or at least any local diploma in ergonomics.
b. Certified Industrial Hygienist / Certificate Associate Industrial Hygienist or at least any local diploma in industrial hygiene
c. ISO14K/OHSAS18K/ISO45K internal audit certificate with preferably certificate in training and adult learning – any local training would be accepted.
4. Good knowledge of PRC Works Safety and Beijing Work Safety Regulation
5. Good knowledge on implementing, understanding rules and regulations of the Safety and Health Standards related to Air Emission, Noise, Waste & Water, Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Ergonomic, Fire Safety, Training and ISO Systems.
6. Qualified Lead auditor certificate for ISO 14k/45K Management System, must have experience in implementing ISO14K / OHSAS18K / ISO45K management system.
7. Trained and qualified in First Aider and knowledge in Fire Safety management
8. At least 2-3 years experiences in facility engineering or manufacturing process.
